Hamilton Watch Company was founded in Lancaster, PA in 1892. The company set out to produce "America's finest watch," and began with high quality, American-made pocket and wristwatches. These precise and durable instruments have enjoyed a long and colorful history, providing pocket watches for early railroad use, supplying the U.S. Navy with marine chronometers during World War II, developing a watch for the first American airmail postal service, and designing the first electric watch, among others.

Hamilton watches return to the big screen in Ridley Scott’s epic adventure, “The Martian”. The Khaki BeLOWZERO helps defining the strong character of Mark Watney (Matt Damon), when he is left behind on Mars.
Aviation Heritage
The aviation heritage of the brand dates back to 1918, when the pilots of the first US airmail service between Washington and New York wore Hamilton watches. By the 1930s Hamilton was the official timekeeper of choice for commercial airlines in the USA.
Today the aeronautical spirit lives on. Hamilton is the timekeeping sponsor at a variety of international aviation events such as the Free Flight World Masters in France. Cooperating closely with leading air squadrons, the world famous French aerobatic pilot Nicolas Ivanoff and Air Zermatt, the prestigious transport and rescue helicopter company from Switzerland, Hamilton is taking aviation watches to new heights.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship is an official World Championship, accredited by the FAI – The World Air Sports Federation. It has been known as the fastest motorsport series in the world, featuring 14 of the best race pilots in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial track made of 25 meters-high air-filled pylons. It is a visual spectacle unlike any other.
Our History
Following WWII, the revival of commercial production was marked by the revolutionary introduction of the world's first battery powered watch, the Ventura, in 1957. This astounding technology was accompanied by styling unseen and untried before in the watch industry. The asymmetrical case, pointed and extended lugs and curved crystal of this technical marvel shook the watch industry up and changed the face of watch design.
